2010 in review

Well, well, well…. another year has flown by and, up until this last week, I felt pretty disappointed in myself because I didn’t – couldn’t – keep up with everything I wanted to do and get accomplished.  So I’ve been doing a lot of  thinking and reflecting about this last year and why and how I’ve gotten to this spot.  It’s been good to clear my mind a bit.   So the bottom line is that I’m lowering my expectations on myself and being more assertive about what’s best for me.  Work will not get 150% out of me anymore.   They’re going to have to live with me being truly part-time or I’m walking.  I don’t have to make crafty things for every person I know, nor do I have to take a picture of everything I see.

Life can be pretty weird; it’s hard enough just trying to keep my head up and stay afloat.   For me, this will be a year (I hope!) with more travelling and making the time for enjoying family, friends and life – and remembering I’m doing the best I can.

So with that, a very happy, balanced New Year!

Inspired and idea swiped from Cauchy’s blog, here’s a very quick look at the year 2010 in photos.

  1. looks like a mostly excellent year! apart from the beautiful yarn-y adventures, i really loved seeing your trip to Hawaii.

i can totally understand about finding a balance. let me know when you figure it all out!

  2. I don’t think any of us ever keep up with all that we want to do. I’ve halfheartedly striven for balance for years now…but probably cursed myself from the getgo thinking it an impossible dream. Like you though, I think I’m finally to the point that though I think it will be a struggle to obtain, this year I will strive again for balance. Not because I want it, but because I NEED it.

2010 looks like it was a fabulous year from you…here’s hoping you get all you wish for in 2011!
