I had a dream the other night…it was one of those dreams that was so vivid and has stayed with me.  Not a nightmare or a weird one or even all that thought provoking.  I dreamt that I adopted a cat.  Specifically, a female cat who was very tangerine.  Her name had to be Peggy Day.  I tried all sorts of other names, but everyone kept telling me that Peggy Day was the perfect name for this cat.  And that was that.  Ever since, I’ve been running that little song through my head.   Not Peg o’ My Heart or Pretty Peggy-O, but Peggy Day is the one…

Peggy Day stole my poor heart away
By golly, what more can I say
Love to spend the night with Peggy Day.

Peggy night makes my future look so bright
Man, that girl is ought of sight
Love to spend the day with Peggy night.

Well, you know that even before I learned her name
You know I loved her just the same
And I tell them all, wherever I may go
Just so they’ll know, that she’s my little lady
And I love her so.

Peggy Day stole my poor heart away
Turned my skies to blue from gray
Love to spend the night with Peggy Day.

Peggy Day stole my poor heart away
By golly, what more can I say
Love to spend the night with Peggy Day.

I was also recently in Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia.  Pretty little place.  We were there on the third anniversary of my mom’s passing, so we thought it would be a nice place to visit since her name was Peggy.

Well, the whole area, from Peggy’s Cove to Lunenburg, was just beautiful.  Mom would have loved it.  And happily, our skies that day turned to blue from gray.
