Away from my home and supplies, I cringe and curse when there is a malfunction with my implements of craft. And that happened as I was happily knitting along on my scrappy scarf/ blanket. I felt a “pop” and sure enough the needle has come apart and stitches were pouring off the cord. Now, these are Knitpick interchangeable needles and this is about the third or fourth time this has happened. They come apart, not where you screw the needle to the cord, but the metal attaching to the cord. I’ve been able to get the Mr. to glue them back together, but alas, his glue stash is at home and we’re not…till February. Sighhhhhh. I think I’m done with the Knitpick needles.
So off to a new yarn shop in search of a replacement. Can I come away with only that and not more yarn?
Yeah, I didn’t think so either!
And I’ve lived long enough to know to also pack yarn and needles for socks. We always need more socks!
