weaving the queen of hearts

I like it when yarn companies name their yarn instead of just giving it a boring reference number.  Cascade Heritage Silk Paints does that, although that’s not the reason I like to use this yarn.  It’s sooooft!  And gorgeous. And it weaves like a dream.

This is the latest shawl off my loom using the Cascade, colourway 9810: Queen of Hearts, as the warp and Viking Baby Ull in grey for the weft.  Usually I use a lace weight as my weft, but for this project I upped the weight to fingering weight.  It’s soft with a little more oomph to it than the lace weight gave.

The finished size is 14″ by 60″ with 4″ fringe.

To be added to the shop later this month.
